28th October 1940 – 1AAS, RAF Manby – Fairey Battle I - L5027 – Kapral F Skryzpczak PAF – Air to ground firing exercise.
Location – Stalled and crashed into sea 3 miles off Donna Nook
The aircraft was based at No 1 Air Armament School at RAF Manby and the crew were undertaking an air firing exercise at the range at Donna Nook. The aircraft stalled during the practise and dived into the sea 3 miles east of Donna Nook. The 3 crew members were killed but their remains were later recovered.
