Location – On bomb dump at Hemswell airfield.
Aircraft crashed on return to Hemswell when pilot approached too low, struck the bomb dump and caught fire. Sgt RSC Ivatt and Sgt R Pelham killed. Sgt R W Smith and Sgt F Bissell injured.
