103 Squadron Battle of Britain aircrew.
There are a number of 103 Squadron aircrew commemorated on the Battle of Britain London Monument. See their website.
The Roll of Aircrew who fought in this momentous Battle includes a number of aircrew with 103 Squadron connections.
On return from France in July 1940 several 103 pilots volunteered for transfer to Fighter Command.
These are :-

Norman Brumby
Tommy Pugh.
Douglas Steele Kinder
Leslie Denis Barnes.
Vivian Robert Snell.
In addition three aircrew flew in the Battle of Britain who joined 103 Squadron, two in 1941 and one in 1944, as bomber aircrew.

Sgt. Arthur E Owen
Arthur Edward Owen, of Mosely, Birmingham joined the RAF early in the war. He completed his training as an Air Gunner and joined 600 Squadron at Manston in June. He flew two sorties during the Battle, 30th August and 5th September.
He was killed on 24th July 1941 as a Sergeant with 103 Squadron, operating in Wellingtons from Elsham Wolds.
Wellington IC R1397 was shot down near Bozum, Holland on a sortie to Emden by Oblt. H Lent of 4./NJG1.

Owen was 25 at the time of his death and rests at the Leeuwarden Northern General Cemetery with his comrades.

F/O William Nixon RAFVR
William Nixon was a Battle of Britain veteran and is commemorated on the BoB memorial. He joined the RAF in June 1940 and trained as a Radar Operator. He was posted to 23 Squadron, flying Blenheims from Middle Wallop, on 24th September 1940 and flew his first operational sortie on the 28th. He was later commissioned and trained as a pilot.
He was posted with his crew to 103 Squadron in 1944 and killed in August of that year
