Ben Howson’s Archibald Crew Photo Page

These lovely photos were taken by Ben Howson in France showing the Memorials to this crew and featuring his son Aaron and daughter Laura. Many thanks to Ben for sending these and going to so much trouble to commemorate and remember our fallen airmen and several others in his region.

More photos taken at an official event 24th July 2022.

The inauguration of a new memorial next to the graves of the crew of PB253 (576 Sqn) in Chaumousey. The plaque is an enameled lava stone plaque and the Lancaster sculpture behind it was made in Lincolnshire. Group Captain McCord, the Air Attach from the British Embassy in Paris attended the inauguration.  Aaron played The Last Post on the melodica and accompanied Hannah when she played God Save the Queen on the oboe.
